Year Two of the Carolina Box Championships saw eight teams take home titles.

Team 91 Carolina led the way with championships in the High School White, Middle School Blue and 2033/34 divisions.

Buzz City (High School Blue), Carolina Canes (Middle School Red), Threshers (Carolina White), Puffins (2031/32 Blue) and Category 5 (2031/32 White) also stormed through their brackets to come out on top. The event featured 35 teams from the Carolinas take part in the fast-growing second-year event, which featured 71 total games in what is the biggest box lacrosse event in the South.

“The event got bigger but also better this year,” tournament director Nick Holota said. “We saw a ton of the best players from the South, including teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida, in a different setting than usual. Playing box is such a key factor in the development of high-level players around the country. Offering more box opportunities to players in the Carolinas and beyond only helps the players elevate their game. More importantly, though, it’s a ton of fun. They get to come out, play lacrosse in a way that’s even faster and more physical than the outdoor game, and learn how to get better. We can’t wait for next year’s event, and we hope to see some new faces in the mix.”
